Salt Lake City, UT [December 31, 2024] – Christie Barkdull, a veteran of the moving and storage industry with over 35 years of experience, has announced her retirement from Bailey's Moving and Storage.
Barkdull began her career with Bailey’s Moving working with the accounts payable team. Over the course of three decades, she worked in a variety of different roles until being promoted to the General Manager of the Salt Lake City office in 2016, demonstrating dedication and exceptional leadership throughout her tenure.
"Christie has been an invaluable asset to Bailey's Moving and Storage," said Brent Ainsworth, President at Bailey’s Moving and Storage. "Her contributions to the success of our company are immeasurable, and we are deeply grateful for her years of service and commitment."
Barkdull expresses how deeply she will miss working with such a close-knit team, noting that the company has truly become like family to her. She reflects on the immense pleasure of building strong, meaningful relationships over the years, both professionally and personally. Christie is grateful for the support, camaraderie, and shared experiences that made every day at work so fulfilling, and she leaves with fond memories of the incredible colleagues who have made her career so special.
“Serving as the GM for over 9 years has definitely been the highlight of my career at Bailey’s,” Barkdull said. “In this role I got to work very closely with our drivers and moving crew, which was wonderful. They’re the backbone of this company and it was great to get to build relationships with such a hardworking team.”
Barkdull's retirement marks the end of a distinguished career in the moving industry. She will be greatly missed by her colleagues and customers alike.
Troy Talbot Assumes Role of General Manager
Troy Talbot has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Salt Lake City branch, succeeding Barkdull. Talbot brings a wealth of experience to the role and is well-equipped to lead the branch into the future.
